Javea is split into three distinct areas – the old town, the port area and the beach area known as the Arenal. In all three of these areas you will find the majority of the apartments in Javea.

The Arenal beach area contains the majority of the apartments. This means you can walk to the beach, with plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and bars close by.

Many people consider buying property in Javea in Valls, Castellans and the Montgo area. Near the old town of Javea but away from the Arenal beach Javea’s Montgo area in particular is a very favoured area in which to buy property in Javea.

At the foot of the famous Montgo mountain – a landmark that dominates Javea – there are fantastic views over the Javea valley, the plots and villas are large and most villas are south facing. Around the other side of the Montgo mountain you have the town of Denia so you are not far away and access to the motorway is quick.

Most property for sale in Javea will be on the other side of the valley. Close to Javea’s Arenal beach area you have the areas of Cap Marti and Absubia. These are very traditional Spanish areas where even now many Spanish have their homes.

Within the area of Cap Marti you have the popular urbanisation of Tosalet and Toscal, these are very established areas with large plots and old houses – all different from each other. These are very sought after areas in which to buy property in Javea.

Buying property in Toscamar in Cap Marti is also popular with lots of bungalows – also ideal for renting out to tourists – there are tennis courts, football pitch and a communal pool with bar, restaurant and supermarket on-site.

Going up the hill towards the well-known landmark of Cabo La Nao lighthouse with it’s spectacular views you have the hillsides littered with many lovely villas. If you are looking to buy property in Javea and want to buy a villa in Javea these will be good areas to look at because you are close to the Arenal beach yet the areas are peaceful and quiet.

Areas include Entrepinos, Portichol, Ambolo, La Siesta, Balcon al Mar, Costa Nova, Panarama and Granadella. If you want to buy a new villa in Javea then Guardia Park, La Cala and Monte Javea all contain new villas to buy. If you are looking to buy property in Javea with good sea views you will likely look in these areas.

Also as you head out of Javea, away from the Arenal area you pass a number of suitable areas for buying property in Javea. Puerta Fenicia and Pi Ver are more expensive and exclusive urbanisations situated on hills with great views looking across to the Montgo and also the sea.

Going out of Javea towards the town of Benitachell you pass the areas of Pinosol, Premier Hills (new villas), La Finca, Valle de Sol, Las Laderas (new villas), Cansalades Park and Villes de Vent – a new urbanisation which will also have a country club.

On the outskirts of Javea around the golf club there are many areas in which to buy property in Javea such as La Lluca, Covatelles, Tarraula, Rafalet, Tesoro Park, and La Mandarina.


When buying an apartment in Javea you know you will never be far away from facilities such as restaurants, bars and shops because virtually all the apartment blocks in Javea are grouped close together in the three distinct areas that make up the town of Javea.

It has the Spanish feel that Javea old town has but also has a good international mix of bars and restaurants. Your apartment will be right by the sea and you can watch the fishing boats bringing in their catch each evening.

Most apartments for sale in Javea are 2 bed apartments. To buy a 2 bed apartment in Javea you will need to look at €225,000 as a starting price. If you find an apartment for sale in Javea for less than that it will most likely require modernisation.

If you are looking to buy an apartment in Javea and especially if you are looking to make money from buying an apartment in Javea then the best way is to buy an apartment off-plan. This involves buying a Javea apartment before it has even been started to be built.

You will need to have money in place to be able to put down on-going payments while the apartments are being built. Firstly a deposit – usually 5-10%. Then when the roof goes on you will need to have paid about 50%.
