Many people are buying property in Spain either as a permanent home or as a second-home.
Of course one of the most popular areas for buying property in Spain is on the Costa Blanca coast which this website covers thoroughly.
Also popular is the Costa del Sol, Costa del Almeria, Murcia, Costa de la Luz & the Costa Brava.
As well as property prices consider also the best areas for jobs and work as otherwise you might buy a lovely house but not be able to find work.
Also more popular these days is renting on a long-term rental or long term let basis.
This is a great way of finding out if you like the area first before you buy – or you may decide that renting is the best option anyway.

In my experience many people love Spain initially, then end up moving on for various reasons, often just a change of scenery. They get bored. You do get used to the blue skies, sunshine and beaches, as incredible as it sounds. Even worse some people actually dislike living in Spain!

Where to buy small house to retired wth the budget 180000?
ThePropertyAgent says
With a budget of 180.000 euros you can easily find a medium size re-sale home with a decent size plot in most areas outside large cities or little bit inland from the coastline (which tend to be more expensive). It all comes down to your preference of location and type of property.

Have a look at the Murcia Region,
Possibly Mazarron or Los Alcazars ( spelling might be a bit off ) Small towns, costal with mountains nearby, not too busy plenty of ex pats and decent supermarkets bars restaurants and activities
Murcia City is also very pretty for a shopping trip.
Murcia is where Many Spanish families have holiday houses as property is cheaper, but it’s up and coming.
It’s am agricultural region, very few high rises, but plenty of golf courses and also the Mar Manor.
We have a house in this region.Buy close to a town or large village if you can.
Best of luck.
