What documents do I need to bring?
Your drivers licence and passport.
Can I share the driving with a friend?
Most car rental companies will allow you to put another named driver on the rental agreement for a small fee of around €3 a day while others will allow that to be free. All you have to do is present that extra driver’s driving license.

That depends on the car hire company, the majority of which will offer you a full refund and not charge a cancellation fee.
What about insurance?
What is included in the insurance varies from company to company so it is best to ask. Some will offer you can extra insurance which includes loss of keys, tyres and windows.

What about petrol?
On arrival some cars will be filled expecting you to do the same on your return. Some car hire companies will charge you as much as €100 to fill the car if you don’t and rates fluctuate as does the price of fuel. Some car hire companies will give you an almost empty car so you need to return it the same way.
Either way, you can be assured that petrol stations are close to both airports, and if you arrive within the time frame of 6 in the morning until 10 at night, you should have no problem to get to your final destination.
If you are taking a cheap late flight then it is best to book car rental with a full tank of fuel and you leave the vehicle the same condition on the day of departure. Try hire a car that runs on diesel.
What happens if my car breaks down?
