I am Pedro Navarro Guillamon, specialist in Dermatology and Venereology and English speaking doctor. Where were you trained as a Dermatologist? I had the honour of being trained at the Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria of Malaga. I was also able to complement this training with stays in the Pediatric Dermatology service at Hospital La Paz in Madrid and in the Dermatopathology service at UCSF (University of California San Francisco) in San Francisco (USA).
Where do you work ? Currently I combine my practice in the public health system at the Hopistal Universitario Virgen de la Victoria with private practice in my personal medical clinic located in Malaga city center.
How do you understand Medicine and Dermatology? My vision of Medicine and Dermatology has three fundamental pillars: knowledge, closeness and communication. My medical care is based on an anamnesis and dermatological examination to achieve the desired diagnosis.
Which are your pathologies of greatest interest? Difficult question…I would say Acne, Rosacea, Melasma, Atopic Dermatitis, Tumoral and Inflammatory Pathology, Dermatological Surgery, among many others.
