How to Get from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola
Santa Pola is located on the Southern Costa Blanca in Spain and the nearest airport to the sea side resort is Alicante Airport which is fifteen kilometres or nine miles away.
Santa Pola has a rich history with it’s first settlers dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. Pirates once used the island of Tabarca which you can visit by catching one of the hourly ferries leaving from the port of Santa Pola.

Bus from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola
The duration of the trip is just twenty minutes at a cost of €2.15 each way.
The Baile S.A. service runs regularly and frequently seven days a week and the final stop is the Parada Cruz Roja in Santa Pola.

Taxi from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola
Taxi from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola: The journey time from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola is fifteen to twenty minutes at a cost of €39 depending on traffic and location of the accommodation which you have booked.
This is the fastest and most convenient way to get to Santa Pola but certainly not the cheapest. You can try and fix the fare with the driver prior to departure from the airport.
Train from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola
Sadly this is not currently an option as there is no train station at Alicante Airport and no trains going further south to the Southern Costa Blanca sea side resorts.
Private Transfer from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola
Shuttle companies such as Costa Blanca Transfers, Shuttle Direct, Blue Skies and Resort Hoppa offer a service which one can pre book to suit the size of the party.
Journey times are also twenty minutes with a very similar cost of €17 per person return based on a family of four with Resort Hoppa. It pays to shop around and compare prices with the various shuttle service companies.
As Santa Pola is so close to Alicante Airport, many shuttle companies don’t offer services between Alicante Airport and Santa Pola.
Car Hire at Alicante Airport
One of the more popular ways to get from Alicante Airport to Santa Pola. There is much to do and see in the sea side resort of Santa Pola, as well as exploring the nearby resorts of Gran Alacant and Guardamar del Segura.

Costs of hiring a car are dependent on the time of year, model and duration of the rental period. The journey time of course would also be approximately fifty-five minutes.
One can choose to pre book car hire which is a smart thing to do especially during the busy tourist season or organise the car hire after arriving at Alicante Airport.
It is a personal choice of how much money one is willing to spend on the transfer from Alicante Airport and Santa Pola and how much time wants to spend in transit.
It does seem that car hire for Santa Pola is the way to go for vacations in Santa Pola and you will be able to get around the resort as well as the Southern Costa Blanca.
