COSTS OF TAXI FARES FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT
There are many taxi services all over the Costa Blanca but be aware that some people operating as taxi drivers are unlicensed and uninsured who are working on the black taking work away from legal registered drivers so beware which taxi you are getting into.
The most popular way to get an airport transfer from Alicante airport to your chosen destination is by taking a taxi.
Getting a taxi will be the most expensive airport transfer option but it is also the most convenient because as soon as you leave the airport terminal, the taxi rank is close by, you can get in and immediately be on your way to your holiday accommodation.

How to Get from Alicante Airport to Murcia
Murcia is located in the province of Murcia on the Costa Calida in Spain and the nearest airport to Murcia is Murcia Airport which is forty four kilometres away.
Most of the tourists who have booked vacations to Murcia do choose Alicante Airport as their gateway to the Costa Calida as it has the most flights, carriers and services.
On arrival at Alicante Airport one can make their way to the city by any of the following ways:
Bus from Alicante Airport to Murcia
The duration of the trip is just fifty-five minutes at a cost of €4.64 for a single and €8.35 for a return.
There are eight daily services each way on offer by ASLA. Departing from Alicante Airport for Murcia every two hours the bus departs at 09:15, 11:15, 13:15, 15:15, 17:15, 19:15, 20:15 and from the Calle Los Bolsos in Murcia to Alicante Airport at 07:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 19:00 and 20:00.
If one is arriving outside of these times one can always catch the bus to Downtown Alicante and from there catch the bus to Murcia.
The travelling time from Downtown Alicante to Murcia is approximately two hours because of some waiting around at a cost of €9 each way.
Train from Alicante Airport to Murcia
There is currently no train station at Alicante Airport, but one could catch either a taxi or the bus to the train station in the Alicante City Centre and then catch a train to Murcia.
The duration of journey is over an hour with four services daily at 17:30, 18:26, 20:39 and 22:38. Tourist tickets cost €17.70 for adults and €10.55 for children on the services in the late afternoon.
From Murcia there are five services daily at 05:55, 06:35, 09:45, 13:53 and 17:32, and the early morning services are very cheap just €7.90 for adults and €4.75 for children.

Private Transfer from Alicante Airport to Murcia
Shuttle companies such as Costa Blanca Transfers, Shuttle Direct, Blue Skies and Resort Hoppa offer a service which one can pre book to suit the size of the party.
This kind of transfer is much like a taxi service with the exception that the transfer is pre booked with the option of using the shuttle service as well on the day of departure.
Journey times are also fifty-five minutes with a very similar cost of €23 per person each way based on a family of four. It pays to shop around and compare prices with the various shuttle service companies.
BUS SERVICES FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT
There is a bus service running from Alicante to Benidorm. It costs €6 per person and runs daily at 10:30, 14:30, 17:30 and 21:30.

The advantage with a private bus, minibus or shuttlebus is that you are dropped off directly at your accommodation without the price tag of a taxi. The disadvantage is it takes longer as you may be just one of fifteen holidaymakers going to different parts of the resort.
TRAIN SERVICES FROM ALICANTE
There were no trains directly from Alicante airport but there is the Lemon Express which operates between Alicante Station and Denia, but this involves catching a taxi from the airport into Alicante town centre and then waiting for the infrequent trains. On top of all this the train doesn’t stop at all of the resorts on the Costa Blanca, but only in Gata de Gorgos and Benidorm.
The main train service between Alicante and Valencia only stops in Gandia. There are future plans to really develop the line but this will only take place in 2012.
