ABOUT RENTING A CAR IN CIUDAD QUESADA
Ciudad Quesada is a popular town set slightly inland on the Southern Costa Blanca, close to Alicante and Torrevieja. Ciudad Quesada (Quesada for short) is a modern town which was created by Justo Quesada Samper in 1972. This development was granted town status in 1999.
Ciudad Quesada is a wonderful area to explore when you visit or come on holiday. The Costa Blanca is famous for its clean sandy beaches, scenic coastline, traditional Spanish fishing villages and of course the wonderful sunny and hot climate.
Set on a hillside Quesada is now home to many expats due to the close proximity of the southern Costa Blanca beaches at Torrevieja and Guardamar, just ten minutes drive away, the choice of modern properties and excellent facilities the town has (plenty of shops, bars, restaurants banks etc).
Ciudad Quesada has an 18 hole golf-course and its own Water Park. Ciudad Quesada boasts its very own excellent 18 hole golf course and clubhouse ‘La Marquesa’. There are many other courses in the vicinity and some are championship standard, such as ‘La Finca’, future venue for the Ryder Cup. As well as being a golfer’s paradise, there are plenty of other activities here so renting a car is recommended to make the most of your Ciudad Quesada holiday.
The Aqua Splash water park is here and the salt lakes of Torrevieja are very close making for a great healthy lifestyle. The protected area the Parque Natural de La Mata y Torrevieja is also close with much wildlife especially birds.
Ciudad Quesada car hire is a great option as hiring a car gives you the flexibility to explore a different area each day. There are many famous Costa Blanca tourist attractions and sights to see and do.
We really recommend you hire a car for your visit to Ciudad Quesada because it is set about 15 minutes drive away from the nearest beaches which are the major attractions and reason people come on holiday to Ciudad Quesada – it makes for a great holiday base with reasonably priced apartments and villas for rent.
Recommended excursions of interest include visits to the city of Torrevieja, Alicante, Elche, Benidorm for its theme parks and Murcia for its history and shopping. There are historic buildings and caves in the nearby town of Rojales.
If instead, you have no interest in getting out and about and exploring the area around Ciudad Quesada and you just need to get to your hotel, apartment or villa rental in Ciudad Quesada, then when you arrive at Alicante airport or Murcia airport you have the options of getting a taxi, an airport transfer to Ciudad Quesada or private minibuses or shuttle buses are available as well to Ciudad Quesada which is only around 20 minutes drive away from Alicante airport.
You will need to consider the location of your accommodation in order to decide whether you should hire a car for your Ciudad Quesada holiday. If you are located centrally near restaurants and bars you could in theory stay by your pool, get buses to the beaches and not need to rent a car.
