Have FUN Working in Ibiza Clubs! How to get a Nightclub Job…

One of the major ambitions for a young dance music fan is to go to the island of Ibiza and work in one of the very top clubs that are famous all around the world.

The best known clubs are Pacha, Eden, Amnesia, Es Paradis, Privilege and Space.

Of course there are many other clubs on Ibiza as well as many famous parties and themed nights at the various clubs.

Obviously these are the elite jobs that everybody would like to get and competition is enormous but in our guide we will at least point you in the right direction and give you every opportunity of finding work.

Night Club Jobs in Spain 2024

First of all we are going to list some of the different types of jobs that you might expect to find in the nightclubs of Ibiza.

DJs Required in Ibiza – Becoming an Ibiza DJ in one of the very top clubs is next to impossible unless you are already a major name as a DJ such as David Guetta, Carl Cox, Judge Jules, Pete Tong, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren.

We definitely discourage you from even considering this as a possibility, there are much easier club jobs you could get.

PRs – The capacity of these huge discos and clubs is massive and so as famous as they are, they all need promoters who are known as PR’s.

These public relation reps must go round the island creating interest for the many parties and nights held throughout the summer season.

Bar Jobs – The superclubs in Ibiza are so large that each evening they can hold around 5,000 people, so that’s plenty of customers who need serving drinks. You can either work behind the bar or as a waiter or waitress taking drinks and food to tables especially in the VIP areas.

Dancing in Clubs – Every club will require some good-looking men and especially women to dance on podiums in order to create an additional atmosphere to the music.

You will need to not only be a great dancer but also have stunning looks and figure. You could be dancing for 4 to 5 hours straight each evening so being a dancer in Ibiza is an extremely physically demanding job.

Club Jobs in San Antonio Ibiza

Many nightclub jobs will be located in the busiest resort of San Antonio aka Sant Antoni. The world famous clubs of Eden and Es Paradis are located just behind the main beach.

A short taxi ride away are the other two well-known clubs of Privilege and Amnesia.

But there are many other lesser-known clubs which will also be employing staff, especially in the West End area which is packed with bars, pubs, shops, restaurants and clubs.

Other locations for club jobs would include Ibiza Town and Playa d’en Bossa.

Advantages of Working in a Club

Unlike working in other bars and restaurants which are open all day, requiring you to work long hours, by working in a club you get to have the day off and relax on the beach.

Virtually everybody who wants to work in Ibiza wants to be there so that they can enjoy some time in the club’s but by getting a job inside, you will not only be enjoying the amazing atmosphere and music – but getting paid at the same time!

As a worker in a club you will get free passes as well as free drinks.

Where Can I Get Club Jobs for 2024 Season?

Also try arriving in Ibiza and going to popular workers bars such as the Ship Inn.

Jobs at Space Ibiza

Space is the super club brand that is possibly the most famous club in the world with the possible exception of Pacha.

This legendary club has been operating since 1989 in the middle of Playa D’en Bossa.

With a massive capacity of 7,000 Space is often full for the world-famous parties which include sets from DJs such as Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Gareth Emery and Marcus Schulz.

Space is not only famous for its mainly techno dance music but also the legendary open-air terrace, it closes at 6 AM.

Working at Space is all about enjoying the music as the club itself is less glamorous than some of its rivals.

When you fly into Ibiza look down and you just might see the clubbers waving up at you!

Amnesia Jobs

Amnesia Ibiza is definitely one of the famous clubs you want to try get a job in. You’ve probably seen it in the movies It’s All Gone Pete Tong and Kevin and Perry Go Large.

The super club has been operating since the 1970’s and now has a 5,000 capacity. Over 300 staff work at Amnesia.

The two major nights that they host are Cream Ibiza and Cocoon.

The big name DJs and the mix of music from Balearic House to techno make it one of the best dance clubs in the world.

Located in San Rafael, in between San Antonio and Playa D’en Bossa close to Privilege. You can usually get a free bus from San Antonio.

Working at Eden

Eden Ibiza is one of the newer clubs right in the heart of San Antonio on the site of former Club Kaos which burned down. The location just behind the beach and in the liveliest resort of Ibiza certainly helps.

What a place to work! Eden Ibiza has two floors, 13 bars, two VIP areas, a funky room and a separate chill out room, the White Room. Eden attracts the finest clubbing nights and promoters on the island.

Situated next door to its rival club Es Paradis, Eden is famous for having some of the best parties in San Antonio.

Eden has a capacity of about 5000 people and the best nights to go is Sunday’s when Judge Jules plays his trance night called Judgement Sundays.

Pacha Ibiza Jobs

Of all the famous clubs on Ibiza, Pasha is the original and best. Whatever you do try get a job here!

Since Pacha opened in 1973, it has become known to play mostly house music with a real Balearic flavour.

The brand has now been extended with franchises throughout the world but nothing beats the original club in Ibiza.

The club enforces a strict dress code and attracts VIPs from all over the world.

Pacha is the smallest of the six major nightclubs in Ibiza with a capacity of 3000 people, so often you won’t get in.

Big names playing at Pasha include Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta with his F*** Me I’m Famous night.

It is going to be incredibly difficult to get work in Pacha but somebody has to get those jobs. The one major factor that counts against you is that the club is open all year round unlike the other major clubs.

Pacha is filled with locals and so it isn’t just a mass tourist club, this means that most of the staff will be working there all year round but there will still be a few seasonal, summer jobs available.

Es Paradis Jobs (UPDATE – Currently Closed)

Es Paradis opened in 1975 in spectacular style. The club has been described by many as the most beautiful club in the world. You can’t fail to miss it because it is shaped as a pyramid, the top of which opens up in the morning to allow the sun to beam in and signal that the night is over!

The club is directly next to Eden, located just behind the beach and waterfront in San Antonio so it benefits from a fantastic position in Ibiza’s busiest resort where most workers go to find jobs.

Es Paradis has a Roman decor and is famous for its water parties (Fiesta del Aqua).

The music is very varied depending on the various nights and parties so it is difficult to define exactly. It can vary from house, hip hop to techno.

Big names include Todd Ferry and Danny Rampling with major parties being held at Ibiza Rocks and Hed Kandi each Saturday.

Jobs in Privilege

Privilege is the world’s biggest nightclub so naturally there is a great opportunity to get jobs in this super club.

You may have heard of the legendary Manumission nights which massively raised the profile of Ibiza in the 1990s as the place to go for clubbing and listening to dance music.

Many of the clubs in Ibiza used to be open-air venues but the law change of 1990 forced many to put roofs on and at that time the club became Privilege.

The big night at this club has been the trance night on Monday hosted by Tiesto which will now be held by Armin Van Buuren and his A State of Trance night.

The club is located in between San Antonio and Ibiza town and close to Amnesia.

Sankeys Ibiza

A relatively new club in Playa D’en Bossa but gaining a good reputation due to the innovative music and competitive drink prices compared to the other major super clubs.

The music includes Monza and Ferry Corsten.

Ushuaia Beach Club and Hotel

This five-star hotel in Playa D’en Bossa beach is marketing itself as an exclusive destination for the rich and famous.

DC10

This nightclub is shrouded in controversy having been closed down many times over the years for all sorts of problems due to licensing.

It is relatively quiet during the week but the big night is held on Mondays and is known as Circo Loco.

It is located at the end of the airport runway in a former airplane hangar.
