Jose, what would you say would be the advantages to living in Oliva compared to other Costa Blanca towns?

Small town but with all kind of facilities. Amazing long beaches that are unknown and a big and good golf course, designed by Severiano Ballesteros.

Coming onto buying property, what is the market like now in terms of prices going up, or down or staying the same?

The last couple of years, the prices were going down, but I think that now the prices are staying well-balanced.

Is this a good time to buy and are there any repossessions or very cheap properties still available to buy?

Definitely, it is. Now there are a lot of opportunities including all kind of houses.

“We are an Estate Agency established in 2002… based in La Font den Carros near Oliva. We provide a full professional and personal service for buying a property in Spain.

What is the property market like currently?

“It is recognized that the property market.. through-out Europe is slow… however, clients are still looking and there are bargains to be had!!!”

How much are apartments/villas on average?

“Unfortunately, we would not say that (to-day) there is an average price … there are many reason why people sell.. and this can be reflected in the price. People can say…” that’s is very expensive property” …But as an agent we can only advise the seller, of the current market, but if Mr. A wants to sell or try to sell their property, for a top price, then we have to abide by the sellers wishes.”

Are there opportunities for expats seeking work?

“With 1 in 4 Spaniards being unemployed, the chances of work is slim… however, there are always opportunities that appear if you are hard working, a Skill, and being able to communicate in the Spanish Language.”
